Roving Brooklyn

My friend, Adam the talented,  has created a really rad blog called Roving Brooklyn (I lovingly call it "The Roving Crook"). He's asked me to post a bit on it so I figured I'd share. But there are some truly wonderful pieces of writing. Way to go Adam!

Spacebook

Finals suck. We all know it. And given that this time is just crazy in general (school, work, residents, friends, holidays...the list goes on and on) art is just the perfect escape.

My good friend Adam has been working on a wonderful film project called "Spacebook" where he interviews people about their space and why it is them. He interviewed me and made this wonderful film where I talk all about my obsession with bodies! Check it out!

Guest Artist: Adam Cecil

As another part to my guest artist series type thing, I'm highlighting my friend Adam. His video series is just wonderful and looks at such an interesting topic: what people have!

Adam Cecil is a writer based in Brooklyn, New York. His interest in non-fiction storytelling led him and his friend Thomas to come up with the idea for Spacebook.

Guest Artist: Michelle Olguin

The Oasis / 2 ft / steel, oil paint on glass / 2013

I wanted to start doing guest posts because I have so many wonderful artists in my life and it would make this blog more well rounded. These pieces would look so cool next to my bone art!

These lovely pieces are done by one of my best friends, Michelle Olguin. She created these pieces exploring deformity and injury.
